Chapter Text

Changbin noticed first.

Jeongin was behind Bang Chan one morning after Changbin and Felix stayed over, holding onto his waist, his face buried into Chan’s neck. They obviously didn’t notice Changbin, because Chan set down his coffee and turned around, kissing Jeongin with real passion, not just a friendly cheek kiss they’d all done at least once.

Changbin stared for a second as they were talking all lovey-dovey to each other, before quickly slipping back into the living room and acting asleep.

Let’s just say.. he heard some weird noises after that, and Jeongin came out of his bedroom with Chan looking a little too relaxed, his hair messy.

~~~~~
Felix stood across from Jeongin in the kitchen as Innie baked some regular sugar cookies, spreading icing on them with a butter knife.
Jeongin was just wearing a hoodie and sweatpants, but upon further inspection..
“Innie, is that Chan’s hoodie?” Felix asked abruptly.
“Uh.” Jeongin went red, nervously giggling as Felix inspected him, his eyes landing on Jeongin’s bruised neck with bite marks all over it.
“Innie.. Don’t tell me..” Felix said, facepalming. “Out of all the members..??” Lix asked.
“Hush Lix.” Innie demanded, crossing his arms and dramatically pushing away th finished cookies. “You and Changbin obviously have something happening..” He scoffed, leaving Felix in shock as he turned around to put the cookies in the fridge so the icing would harden.
“How-?” Felix couldn’t muster up words.
“Nobody acts like that with their friend.. You were on his lap feeding him popcorn last night Lixxie.”
“Ugh, i guess you’re right.” Felix crossed his arms, pouting. He grabbed the beer he was sipping on, taking a big gulp.
“We should go out tonight. All of us.” Felix recommended. “Just make sure you hide your neck..” He teased, getting a scoff from Jeongin.
“Go out like.. drinking?” He asked. “It’s already 8 Felix..- Doesn’t that seem late? Everyone will be ready by like ten..”
“True, but it isn’t gonna kill us to have some fun.”
Jeongin agreed, going to his room to get dressed, texting the group chat with everyone.
Nobody disagreed. Maybe Felix was right.
Maybe they did need to get out a little more.
~~~~~

Jisung had rented out a room at a hot pot restaurant near their new dorms for them.

Nobody rushed to order, just getting alcohol first since they had already ate, they couldn’t normally go out since they would be recognized.

Jisung, Minho, Hyunjin, and Seungmin were bickering together at one corner of the table, Changbin and Felix laughing together across from them.

Jeongin had already had 2 beers, even though they just got there.

“Innie, slow down.” Chan insisted as they sat down away from the other members.

“Why..?” Jeongin whined, fidgeting with Chan’s fingers.

“We just got here and you’re on your third. Plus, we all agreed to take shots together. You’re gonna get wasted.”

Jeongin waved him off as the waiter walked in, dropping off shots and more beer. Felix and Changbin moved to sit across from him and Chan, and Hyunjin and Seungmin moved next to them.

Felix distributed the shots to everyone.

“Okay guys.. Cheers.” Changbin chuckled, his face already a little flushed.

They all clinked the small glasses together, gulping them down.

Everyone started talking together this time.

Jeongin was half bent over the table, about to arm wrestle with Seungmin.

“Im totally gonna win Minnie.” Jeongin said, his words slurring slightly. Seungmin broke out into a giggle fit, and Jeongin instantly won.

“I told you!” He giggled, nudging Seungmin’s arm.

“Shut up..” Seungmin said in English, gaining an eye roll from Jeongin.

He went to sit back by Bang Chan, taking another shot.

“Channieee..” Jeongin whined, watching Chan talk to Hyunjin, who was sitting by him.

Chan was completely faced away from Jeongin.

Jeongin tugged at his sleeve, still not gaining a reaction. He was getting needy.

Jeongin’s hand slipped up Chan’s shirt, his hand splayed out against his abs. Hyunjin gave a disgusted stare, turning back to Seungmin with a suspicious look.

“Hm? What’s up Innie?” Chan asked as he turned back to him, before seeing his flushed face and relaxed eyes. Chan sighed, blushing softly.

Jeongin pressed closer to him, their chairs touching now. He was getting too touchy as they talked, his hands running up and down Chan’s arm, tangling in his hair.

The others gave glances, a bit confused but brushing it off as they saw the redness of Jeongin’s face.

“Channiee~..” Jeongin whined.

“Yes Jeongin-ah?” Chan asked, eating a piece of kimchi.

“Do you have a cigarette on you?” Jeongin asked, his chin on Chan’s shoulder.

“Yeah, why though? You don’t ever smoke?”

“Mm. Just in the mood for one.” Jeongin shrugged, watching Chan pull out a cigarette and his lighter, handing it over.

~~~~~
Jeongin slipped out of the room, walking onto the balcony.
He lit the cigarette, thinking.
His mind was woozy, begging for him to put out the cigarette and go get Chan. Just talk to him, touch him, anything.
~~~~~

Meanwhile, Chan sat alone, sipping his beer as he waited for Jeongin to get back.

“Chan.” Hyunjin said lowly, looking irritated.

“Yeah? What’s up?” He said casually, turning towards Hyunjin.

“What the fuck is going on between you two?” He asked, looking suspicious.

“N-“ Chan sighed, looking embarrassed. “Nothing’s going on between me and him.”

Hyunjin didn’t push, just giving him a side eye and turning back to Seungmin.

Chan turned to see Jeongin walking in.

Oh so that’s why he didn’t keep asking.

Innie stumbled over, choking down the rest of his beer before crawling into Chan’s lap without second thought, his face buried in Chan’s neck, and his arms wrapped tight around him.

“Are you ready to go home?” He asked quietly so only Jeongin could hear, chuckling softly and rubbing his back.

“Mhm.” Is all Jeongin said, holding on tighter.

“Alright you guys, i had fun but I’m gonna go ahead and take this one home. How much is the bill so far?”

“8,000 won.” Felix said, looking up with big doe eyes.

Chan set down that exact amount, carrying Jeongin out of the restaurant.

~~~~~
They made it home quick, and Chan had to literally pry off Jeongin.
“We need to change into pajamas Innie.” Chan hopelessly tried to explain, hoping he’d let go.
“I’m comfy the way i ammm..” He whined, holding tighter.
Chan gave up, forcefully prying him off and laying him down on his bed, grabbing out pajamas and changing Jeongin himself.
“Perv..” Jeongin laughed, a huge, drunk smile spread across his face.
“Nope, you just refuse to change yourself, and unlike someone here i want to be comfortable.” He said rolling his eyes, his accent coming out.
“You’re really pretty Channie.” He sighed, crawling under the blankets and watching him change into nothing but a pair of checkered pajama pants, joining Jeongin in bed.
“You are too Jeongin, now for the love of God please go to sleep.” He said as he leaned over to turn off the lamp, cuddling the younger boy tightly.
Innie chuckled, kissing Chan’s neck before obliging and falling asleep almost instantly.
~~~~~

Bang chan was already out of bed when Jeongin woke up. He was fully dressed, drinking a cup of coffee.

“Chan?” Jeongin asked, his voice rough with sleep.

“Morning.” Chan replied, downing the rest of his coffee. “Im gonna go to the studio for a bit.” He said, pressing a kiss to the corner of Jeongin’s mouth, grabbing his keys and leaving.

He was acting weird. Chan never rushed to go to the studio unless he was stressed or caught up thinking.

He always sung away his problems. Or so he said.

It just pushed him further into the spiral of his own thoughts.

~~~~~
Bang chan came home a few hours later, looking a lot happier than before, despite the darkness outside. He stood at the counter, drinking a glass of water and scrolling on his phone as Jeongin walked out of his room, looking so pretty.
His hair was half up in a little ponytail, and he was wearing a cute pink cardigan with light blue jeans, some pink embroidered on them.
Bang chan instantly went red.
“Hi channie!” Jeongin said happily, walking up and holding onto Chan’s shoulder. “I thought maybe we could go out?”
“Alright..” Chan said hesitantly, “Ill go change.”
Jeongin nodded and let him step away.
Chan came back out a few minutes later in a black hoodie and dark grey baggy jeans, a bit of a white shirt sticking out from the bottom of the hoodie.
He wanted to look nice, but didn’t want to outshine Jeongin.
~~~~~

They ended up at a small, open park, with not many people thankfully considering it was almost 23:00. (11:00 P.M.)

The wind was blowing, and the lack of sun made it cold out. Small lights in the trees and trailing near the walkway kept the park from being pitch black.

“So um.. Chan..” Jeongin started, picking at his nails a little.

“Yes Innie?”

“I was thinking.. maybe we could um..” He looked nervous, his eyes fixated on the floor. “Maybe we could make things official..?”

Chan looked shocked, his eyes meeting Jeongin’s. “Jeongin- I- Of course.” He stammered out before he could ever think about it, grasping onto Jeongin’s face.

He kissed him. It was slow, passionate. Chan only pulled back when he realized his body was begging for air.

His eyes met the younger boy’s again, seeing how heavy they were all of a sudden.

“I love you Chan.” Innie murmured, holding onto Chan, savoring the warmth of his body against the biting cold.

“I love you more.”
