Chapter Text
“All right, let’s take inventory of the skills at our disposal as we all know, Thor can do that thing with the electrics because he was struck by lightning.” Isaac gestured towards Thor.
Thor turned towards a lamp and strained. It took all his might but the lights began to flicker.
The whole room cheered.
“Oh Isaac, what about your thing?” Hetty asked.
“I do not know what it is in which you refer.” Isaac lied.
“You died of dysentery.” Hetty continued.
“Yeah, it smells like a fart whenever a living walks-through you.” Trevor laughed.
“All right, I get it, we all get it, but you should be less harsh in your condemnation, it is far worse for me than it is for thee, what else.” Isaac rambled annoyed and embarrassed.
“Well, I was thinking that since Alberta was a singer in life and can project her humming into the world of living, she could hum the tune of the movie ghost to scare them, kind of thematic, right?” Pete suggested.
“You know we don’t know what that is Pete.” Sasapies groaned.
“Oh, right, the movie thing.” Pete remembered.
“Welcome to my hell Pete.” Trevor cut in dramatically.
‘Tell me about it.” James laughed in agreement.
“You guys would actually love it. There's an amazing scene where the main girl was making pottery.” Pete began to explain.
“We don’t have time for this.” Isaac groaned.
“And this hunky shirtless guy came up behind her.”
“Well, we do have some time, the haunting isn’t iminent, proceed.” Isaac corrected himself, suddenly interested in Pete’s movie description.
“It’s alright I get it, I'll hum something scary.” Alberta cut in before Pete could continue.
“Oh Trevor must do his amazing thing!” Hetty exclaimed.
All the ghosts clamored in agreement.
Trevor got up confidently and strutted towards an old tea cup on the edge of a table.
Putting one finger by the edge of the cup and his other hand holding his wrist, he strained and began trying to push it.
He had to take a break to breathe and shake out his hand.
“It takes a second.”
“You got it, keep trying.” Pete encouraged.
He went back to it, pushing with all his strength, until finally it toppled over and fell to the floor.
The whole room erupted in cheers and applause.
“Yes! Let’s go, T-money!” Trevor celebrated, bringing his hands to make a T.
Once everyone was settled down Isaac started again.
“Unfortunately now we must face the problem that is our new sleeping arrangement. This house has 9 bedrooms and our new pests are taking up 6 of them. We are going to have to be three to a room, how do you suggest we do this?”
“Well we have three girls so that works out for one group.” Pete suggested.
“Oh god.” Hetty groaned at the thought of sharing a room with Flower and Alberta.
“That works for me. I'm great at having roommates. I had a bunch of them in the cult. Although I guess we were more like sister wives, because of the sex.” Flower agreed happily.
Alberta just chuckled and shook her head at that.
“How about for the guys, we just split into groups of longest to most recently deceased.” Sas recommend.
“So you, Thor, and Isaac; then Me, Trevor, and James?” Pete asked.
“Yep, if that works for you guys.”
“I’m good with anything!” Pete assured him.
The others reluctantly agreed to the plan, no one wanting to share a room with two other people.
“Alright. We all have our assignments. Try to get a good night's sleep, for tomorrow we strike!” Isaac proclaimed.

The next morning the ghosts gathered, excited to begin their haunting.
They waited until everyone was awake and in the kitchen eating breakfast.
“Alright now is the time. Thorfin, go!” Issac commanded.
Thor began to strain, his hands extended towards the overhead lights.
Surely enough the lights began to flicker, which drew the attention of all the livings in the room.
Casey groaned and got up, he started flicking the lights on and off. It took too much power for Thor to continue, he tried his best but ultimately passed out and fell to the ground.
“Man down! Man down!” Isaac cried.
“I’ll add lights to the list of things I need to fix in this place.” Donnie muttered, not looking up from his phone.
“Thanks.” Casey responded dryly, sitting back down to eat.
“Alberta, you’re on.” Issac instructed.
“It feels like I’m more of an opening for Trevor.” Alberta complained.
“Just do it.”
Alberta began to hum, and a ghostly hum echoed through the room.
Unfortunately for her, Mikey immediately started humming along with her but louder, before anyone could question it. He also didn’t stop to wonder where the music had come from.
“Oh come on!” She groaned.
“Trevor, grand finale!”
Trevor strained to knock a vase off of the counter, go big or go home right?, but though it moved slightly, it was too heavy for him to push off the counter. He kept trying but they we all getting up to leave the room.
Issac panicked. He hoped it wouldn’t come to this. He held us breath and ran through Mikey, collapsing to the ground in pain as he did so.
The ghosts all recoiled in disgust at the smell, but to their shock and horror, none of the livings even flinched. After a moment Casey spoke up.
“Mikey, you need to take a bath.” He laughed, shoving Mikey’s shoulder playfully.
“HOW?!?” Issac cried dramatically from his place on the floor.
The ghosts stood around defeated after the livings left the room.
“Okay, so haunting is a bit harder than we thought it would be, we can try again.” Pete chirped, optimistic as always.
“I agree. We shall try again tomorrow.” Issac sighed.
