Chapter Text
Nexus laid on the couch bed as he pondered, he had taken over Cozmoz 'room since they had left for space and didn't need it. Nexus was reliving the small vague memories he had, by choice. He watched as he sang a Barbie song with earth, made the drum noise after earth made a joke to make sun feel better, they were the ones he remembered vividly.
Nexus sighed softly as he squirmed in his bed restlessly, he was starting to relive ones he hated. He wanted to stop but this time he had no choice, he hated how his head worked. It made him remember the small, great times he had lived with his family and friends, thinking it was by his own free will just for it to be false. Nexus sat up as he pulled his hood over his head and dragged his claws down his shadow like face as he did, it hurt but he was desperate for anything to make it stop.
Nexus stomped his feet down onto the ground as he hunched over and started to pick at his eyes. It burned but the more he did it the more he couldn't stop. He went from his eyes to his mouth, scratching the corners of it and he pulled his bottom lip away from his face as if he was trying to rip it clean off. He had already stopped thinking about the horrible things he's been through but he didn't want to stop, not yet. He had all night to keep this going.
Nexus was starting to get impatient, all he was doing was softly mutilating his face out of anger. He dropped his head to rest in his hands and he punched his head a few times, hoping something would be enough for him but it never truly was enough. Nexus grabbed his hood and brought it down to cover his face as his gritted teeth seethed, he wanted to scream out, to cry, to weep, to let it out as he had done before he had “fixed” things with them. He was desperate and he had no idea why.
Nexus groaned as he ran towards the door, the doors flying open and whacking against the walls as he ran as fast as could. He wanted to go anywhere where he knew he was completely alone to let free what he had contained for weeks. He ran for what felt like hours, tripping and huffing as he did but he didn't care, he just planned on getting away from everything and to be alone. Almost as if he was the only one in the entire universe.
Nexus fell to the ground in a Forest, he didn't know how far he was and he couldn't tell if he cared or if he didn't. Once Nexus caught the breath he didn't need he got to his knees and shakily got up, looking around to see his surroundings. His gaze stopped and froze to what seemed to be a small playhouse. It had turned green from how long it had been sitting there, waiting for another kid to play in it. It was covered in spiders as well as other frightening creatures and plants, centipedes, snakes, Thorns, poison ivy and more. For something so small it sure had a lot in store, the most frightening things were the ones who have claimed something so innocent.
Nexus stared at it, just standing there. His breath starting to get heavy and irritated, he then let out a blood curdling scream as he grabbed his hood once more and dragged it down just as he had done before. Nexus stumbled back and then had fallen, he got up as he breathed heavily. It wasn't enough, he needed to hurt something. Something living. He turned to the playhouse, staring at it with deranged eyes before pouncing it and tearing it apart. Ripping the small roof off the plastic walls as he knocked it down to the ground and using the roof to crush it.
The critters ran while the plants stayed and were forced to endure the trauma Nexus was causing them. Nexus threw the roof to the side as he started to rip up the walls by hand, ripping them to bits and pieces until they weren't recognized and were just seen as small stiff leaves or prices of a tree. Nexus threw the last wall at a tree with all the force he had left as he then fell to his knees and held his head in his hands, not screaming, not making any noise at all. He just stood there, he then felt a tear very slowly drip down his face and fall to the leaf covered ground.
Nexus was shocked, he couldn't even remember the last or first time he had cried. The tears kept falling as nexus just let them, sitting down on his legs as he let his arms rest in his lap and he watched the results from his weeps fall to the ground as he had his head tilted down. He watched how the tears seemed to not like the natural ground, like oil on water. The tears were black with purple streaks lining them as they glowed and squirmed. Nexus had no idea why this was happening, but he didn't care if he ever found out or not.
Nexus saw the sun's morning glow peek out through the tall trees making up the forest, he felt the last few tears fall to the ground and disappear as they mixed in with the leaves. Like the tears rea yes when Nexus was in anger, sorrow, or just… emotionless. Nexus got up shakily and just stood there as he looked around one last time, he wanted to remember this place since he loved how beautiful it was, it had some ugly, some scary, but the gorgeous scenery made up for it all. Nexus sighed contently once more as he started to walk home.
Once nexus made it home he sat down onto the bed and laid down and stared at the ceiling, still thinking about that place and how it would be if he maybe took sun or solar there. Maybe even moon, maybe then, moon wouldn't look at him like he was a horrible monster that deserved nothing but death. As Nexus laid there and stared he heard the pitter patter of Suns feet come down to his room. “Good morning!!” Sun said as he entered, Nexus hid a smile as he pretended to sleep.
Sun sighed with a slight smile, leaving then returning with a note and putting it on the pool table for Nexus when he awoke. Sun then left once more. Nexus turned slowly to check if sun had left and not just pretended to leave and he saw the note. “We're at work! If you need anything just call” nexus took the note and put it on his wall, to make sure he didn't forget. He then curled in on himself, and fell asleep.
